Greetings!

I was inspired by Bloodknot's thread below ("Bomb-proof Reel Recommendations") and was wondering if any of the recommendations in that thread come close to sounding like a Hardy Bouglé?

I must admit that I'm a sucker for the primal scream of the Hardy. Makes it feels like I'm fishing with Declan....

Thanks,

Driftwood,I love the Bougle(I have three of them-all with new custom handles) but a durable reel it is not. The frame and spool are both very bendable. Nice thing is they can be bent back if you set the reel down too hard on any surface more dense than water. I love fishing this reel but definately not the one to lend to client's cousin clumsy Cleo.

None of them sound like a hardy bougle/perfect thats been broken in after a few years service. Its kinda like the harley Davidson of fly reels, many have tried to copy it but most have failed. They certainly are not bullet proof and have to be carefully maintenanced from time to time but I would not fish with anything else.
