I just got myself a Hardy Marquis salmon 2. I have to order a spool of backing. How much backing should i get ? I'll be using an airflo ridge 30 lbs running and one of the following shooting head. 480 scandi compact, 510 rage and 540 skagit.

I put 150 yards of Rio 30 lb backing on my Marquis 2 spools.

I have the same setup on my youngest son's rod and I believe I got either 150 or 200 yds of 30 Dacron on plus a ridge running line. He switches between a 6/7 Rio Unispey and a 550 Skagit and has room for either.
