I might have posted this question on an incorrect site. I posted this question on the "Worldwide FlyTalk Forum" board.

I will ask it here also. I purchased a Hardy Favorite 16' 11 weight 3 piece spey rod with an uplocking reel seat. When a suitable reel (Hardy Marquis Salmon #2, Loop Traditional 4) is positioned, the rear (butt) section of the reel seat tightening mechanism slides backward (toward the butt) with each turn.

In order for this not to happen, either duct tape, or feet on the reel bigger than my size "9's" would be required to prevent this problems.
