Is there anyone out there that has fished the Hardy Elite, Gem etc?
I've been fishing the DB FAvorite in a 7/8. It's been on the water about 4 times. It is a casting machine! This one compliments the DBF 8/9 that I got last seasom for use on the Deschutes. Another casting monster. True, they are 5-piece and weigh in at 12-13+ ounces, but it is a small price to pay to be able to cover so much more water.
Thanks, Ed..

ED, I have fished the the Elite(15'#10, I think)What a cannon, with a surprisingly soft tip.Versitile casting tool but a little too much of a telephone pole overall to be a FISHING favourite.Rod is finished beautifully but the price is umm,up there, even past the Winstons.I have cast the Gem Spey briefly and rermember it being a little more progressive than the Elite, cheaper too. It will be interesting to see what happens with the Hardy rods up here in Canada now that the distribution has changed.Brian Niska
