Interested in this reel for a Burkheimer 7134. Wondering if the 8/9 or 10/11 would be a better fit. Weight wise, I think the 8/9 is plenty, but not sure if it would hold enough backing plus running line plus head (scandi 480, skagit 540 and maybe a FF45). Any thoughts.

Thanks

I use an 8/9 on a 7134 rod. Didn't measure how much backing I put on but I would guess at least 80-100 yards. Use mono running line for increased capacity. It has a good drag, so you hopefully you can keep the fish within 450ft of you.
