just dropped on my desk!

Have the GrandSpey 8/9, 9/10, and 10/11 lines in hand. Each, per Simon's note, has a "welded loop on the back end of the fly line" to ease up on all the 'cuttin and splicing' the test lines.

I'll stick a 12-15 foot leader on each (tip it out at 10# Maxima main line) for starters. As you get the lines sent to you, you may deside to twiddle with this for something more approximating what you use for 'testing purposes.'

Simon, thanks for the shot at getting 'loaner reels' for these even if "he didn't go for that!!" Worth a try.:smokin:

Simon also included some VERY complete field test sheets for each of the reels. We should honor his request and fill these out/forward back as soon as possible. The test sheets have RIO's address on the bottom.

Will load them up and give them a try and get one, or more back out into circulation by the end of next week. (One or more refers to some folks want to test just one line, some a couple. The lines will include a list of who gets them next. As you pass them on, cross out your name, next guy the same, etc., so you can keep track of who wants what and where.

Fred,

Put me on the list to try whichever one you find works best on a Sage 9150 green, or 9140 green. Better confirm my address before you send anything though.

would like to try

Hey Fred,

Would like to thank you again for the information on the Rogue when Charlie and I were up there. Stopped at the Deschutes near Maupin on the way back from Washington. Sorry we never hooked up. 7141 was very nice rod. Will not forget soon hooking up on the salmon on the Rogue where you directed us.
Am interested in the 8/9 grandspey. What are the chances of getting a hold of it in the next month or so?

Had my fun so two of the three GrandSpeys will

go out into 'general circulation' starting today. Given the gist of thee line requests I started out with the 8/9 and the 10/11 lines. the 9/10 is loaded and will get a workout this coming weekend. To make this more than just 'casting practice' I'm using the lines in 'real life' fishing conditions.

No 'peeking' as to my thoughts on the lines until several folks have had the opportunity to use the lines.

But two notes: Both lines 'catch fish!' Hooked/landed two on the 8/9 during "testing"Saturday and one on the 10/11 on Monday afternoon.

Second note is these lines require a LARGE capacity reel, so be prepared to strip off the line(s) on larger reels.
