just picked this book up for about $35 US and am finding it a great read about the history and evolution of the hairwing patterns. included in the text by chris mann are the history/development of the hairwing in europe and the United States. this book has a plethora of tube and hook patterns in the rear and is a must read if you are getting into the tube fly tying arena.
i found the tying discription for tying a "fatback" very useful as i have been practicing that style and doing it wrong.
a great book and the patterns are not bad to look at either.
