Pretty interesting story about salmon in Lake Michigan and Huron. Hard to imagine such a grand experiment with the ecosystem. Being from Ontario, it would be interesting to know more about the introduction of salmon history in that area as well.

I cant imagine lake Michigan tribs without the salmon. I have noticed some changes over the years and wonder if lake Michigan is going through the same thing Huron did. Some years there are awesome returns and some years are pretty meager. This last fall was one of the smaller returns, while last year was awesome. There are alot of variables, so it will be interesting to see what happens. As a side note, I was fishing the Pere Marquette for steelhead and browns this last sunday (dec. 7th) and l caught a female coho. I had also hooked and lost a male coho. She was still fairly silver but all spawned out.
