I would like give my thanks and appreciation to two of the Speypages sponsors for their generosity with the Spey Clave.Poppy at Red Shed fly Shop is giving us a gift certificate for a complete spey package consisting of winners choice of an Echo TR Spey Rod with matching Ross CLA Reel,Airflo Delta Mult-tip Spey Line with backing and leader.Lee and Nancy from CND are donating a complete set of their new Ballistic Express(Scandi) Spey Lines from 4/5wt. to 9/10wt. This really helps when it comes to raffle ticket sales which means more money for the Police Association Kids Fishing Program as that is where all money from the Clave is going.

Also we have added a little Scottish flavor to the day.No I'm not talking about a good single malt.We have been offered the services of a piper for the day so this is your invitation to come out be serenaded by the melodic tones of the bag pipe while learning a little about spey.

Thanks,Randy.

Used equipment donations

Just a reminder that we are accepting donations of used equipment fly fishing and otherwise fir the kids.Equipment must be in good useable condition.

Inspector Steve Beckett, of the Community & Corporate Services division of the Waterloo Regional Police Force, will be in attendance for the event. Inspector Beckett and several other officers of the W.R.P.F. work with children, getting them involved in various outdoor activities. One of the main activities is getting them fishing, and that includes fly fishing.

These fine gentlemen are looking to purchase outfits to give to these children to help get them started. Money is one thing that is never at a premium. At the Clave, there will be jars placed on tables where people can make donations to help out with this cause. There is no obligation to donate but it will be very much appreciated. Please be as generous as you can. All funds donated will be leaving with Inspector Beckett at the end of the day.

Also, donations of older fishing equipment in good usable condition would help. Old clean tackle boxes, spinning or fly reels and rods in good shape, anything you can donate for the children will be welcomed! Randy will enlist a couple of volunteers to check it over and assist the Inspector in gathering up donations and equipment.
