Spey Combo Raffle

Yesterday I picked up the tickets for the Spey Combo Raffle. I will also be delivering these to various fly/tackle shops that have agreed to sell them for us. We have 2 very sweet Spey Combos for this draw that have been generously donated by Loop Canada & Sage Fly Rods/Bob McKenzie Agencies. I would like to say thanks to both companies as well as to the many shops that have agreed to sell tickets for us for this raffle. It is with their help and support that our Spey Clave has continued to improve and grow. There is a copy of one of the tickets here a swell.
Cheers & thanks Randy Wilson (Clave Organizer)

Clave Tyers:\
We have 4 very talented tyers for the Clave that will be on hand tying some of their favorite steelhead patterns both days of the Clave in the event tent. Be sure to stop by and feel free to ask questions of them on fly tying. We have Steve Wolcott from Natural Sports and Jin Woo Lee aka Whiskey Jin who have tied for us at the Clave for the last few years. We have 2 new additions with Rob & Tama Clarke of Clarke's Custom Flies. You will see everything from traditional to intruder patterns being tied. Details on the tyers is available on the Clave web site under the tying section...Cheers Randy

For those who don't know, Randy had a stroke on Thursday night and is in the hospital. As I understand it, he can't speak and has lost the use of one side of his body. Here's wishing him a complete and speedy recovery.

He is one of the most generous people I have ever known. With a little help from friends he paid for the claves by himself until a year or two ago and did almost all of the organizing. Recently Friends of the Grand River have been heavily involved also.
