"General Northwest Steelhead Fly"... don't know how else to describe it. Tried to combine colors and contrasts with a "that should work" approach. Hoping to give it a go next weekend. Do you think it will hunt?

Thanks

i think that guy should do just fine for you! good colors and proportions, the only thing I would keep an eye on is making sure it swims true. I used to always use schlappen for my collars and i would put WAY too much on and it would make the fly flip if the wing isnt heavy enough... all that said though this one looks like should be sparse enough but may be on the cusp, i say throw it out and hold on tight!

I don't think you can go wrong with those colours anywhere on either coast and all points in between .
It has just enough sparkle to grab some attention and not send the fish to the opposite bank .
As stated , nice proportions on a nice platform .
I like the "full" tail , it will reduce nicely under tension of the swing .
Very nice work that deserves a chance in your line up :)

I would not hesitate to swing this fly. You will love the way a full feather tail moves in the water, and I hope the fish love it just as much for you. :hihi:
