I picked up a Pentax Optio W10 waterproof camera last week. Not for the pro, but great for who it's for. Supposedly waterproof down to 5 feet. Useless for snorkeling, but if all you are looking for is a digital camera that won't die if you splash it or drop it in the shallows, it's a godsend. Haven't immersed it yet, but if performs pretty well. Maybe a little slow compared to some others when locking on to focus, but not bad at all. 6 megapixel and a 3x zoom for $299 street, $269 at costco...

I'm on the list of W10 owners. Huge LCD, and it takes great videos as well as good stills. This is my first digital camera, and it is "great for who it's for," which is me. I needed/wanted a point-and-shoot with some flexibility, waterproof for fishing, 640x480 video, and zoom. I'd like more than a 3x zoom, but in this form factor that is pretty standard. Had it for about a month. Very pleased.
