This beauty just arrived in the mail:D , along with the 8/9 15' GLX. Any advice on lines......The 8/9 I'll be using on medium size rivers, while the 9/10 will mainly see service on the Thompson, and my fall forray to the Skeena.
Thanks in advance!

If you are looking at floating line options, I have the 9/10 and I throw a 10/11 Carron. It casts effortlessly. I know that one of my friends did his THCI test with the 15' 9/10 and that same Carron line because of how well it casts. It is a very nice rod..congrats on the new toy.

I have both rods.

Lines I have vetted for 15' 8/9
short: SA Short 8/9, WC 9/10/11
mid: Airflo Delta Long 8/9, Hardy Mach 1+ 9/10
long: SA XLT 7/8, SA XLT2 9

My main winter tips line is a custom mid/long that falls between the CND 8/9 and 9/10. If you are a splicer, PM me for details.

Skagit 650 + cheat + tips goes out, but uninspiring feel, still prefer the 8150.

Lines I have vetted for 16' 9/10
Nextcast 9/10
SA XLT 8/9, 9/10
Airflo Delta Long 10/11
Hardy Mach 1+ 10/11
