Fish BC, which is a very successful site, raises funds from the sale of ball caps and bumper stickes. I for one, would be proud, mighty proud, to wear the official insignia of my favourite web site. Joking aside, I think most people would buy a cap, badge, bumper sticker, whatever, to support your efforts.

Good hats, meaning the high quality ones like the ones we do for the Flyfishing Forum, cost $15 each to make. This is due to embroidery tape fees as well as materials and price per unit mulitple colors, etc.

In my opinion, a $5 hat is not worth having. We should go with top quality for years of proud use.

Another option is to go with a top quality badge that could be placed on the hat or vest of ones choice.
