I bought this rod brand new and it has been very well cared for. I have way too many two handed rods and this is the one I can always cast the farthest. It shoots line like no other. It is rated by Winston for a 430-469 grain line. I would stay in that grain window for a Scandi line but for Skagit lines it really comes to life with a 480 or 510 grain line, 20 to 24 feet long. Winston marks the rod a 6/7wt written on the rod, but written on the cap to the tube it's designated as a 6wt. This rod is more than enough for any steelhead you'll ever catch. It's truly a fantastic rod.
