These are large line capacity, small arbor reels that have been fished, or at least lined, but are in excellent condition, tight, smooth, and almost unmarred. PayPal preferred; buyers add $7 for shipping in U.S., or $15 to Canada, for one or more reels.

Redington AS 13/14 black reel plus two extra spools. Disc drag. Some ruboff from drag knob, rest of finish 99%. Capacity for long belly 10/11 lines. 4 3/8", 9.62 oz. on my scale. $200.

Hardy Uniqua No. 5. This is a modern version, not a Uniqua from the last century; perforated matte silver rim control, disc drag. 9.41 oz. with Greenspot backing. 4 1/8". Held a 7/8 XLT with ample backing. Immaculate. $225.

Lamson Tarpon, immaculate; lined but probably unfished. Despite the name, this is obviously a spey reel; huge capacity. Black perforated face, rim control spool, 4" x l 3/16", very strong disc drag. 11.64 oz. WITHDRAWN FROM SALE.

J. W. Young 1540 plus extra spool, 4 1/4" x 1 5/16", rim control; strong, melodious click/pawl drag. Regular 2 1/2" reel foot. Weight around 12 ounces. $150. SOLD.

Daiwa 800, probably made by Young, a nice two-tone dark gray finish; copy of the 1540 above. 4 1/4" x 1 3/16". 12.29 oz. Fitted two piece plastic case. Thick 2 3/4 inch reel foot (may need grinding wheel or Archuletta attention). $80.

Victim of a vicious hacker attack, my computer is in he Office Max emergency room, fighting for its life. Until I have it or a new computer back in service, I won't be able to respond to inquiries or offers for my reels in a timely fashion. (I'm writing this at the public library).

My computer is debugged and back on line. Sorry for the interruption. If you want to buy or have a question about these reels, please ask.

I already have one, and extra spools, but someone should buy that tarpon - fantastic deal, and every bit the equal of the Abel Reels with cork drags - originally cost 3 times as much in 1990 dollars. Not sure how so few people know about them, but jump on it. A great weight for 8 & 9 wt longer spey rods.
