Hello All,

I have a 3-1/2” Hardy Uniqua wide drum fly reel for sale. The reel dates from the 1930's and is a fairly scarce example because it has a fully regulated check mechanism. The vast majority of Uniquas were made with a fixed check. Regulated checks were an extra cost option - only 67 wide drum 3-1/2” Uniquas were made during the pre-World War II period.* The reel has a ribbed brass foot (just 2-1/2” long - good for modern rods), telephone style spool latch and fat Ebonite handle. Also, this one has a small badge on the check plate noting that it was "Made for Abercrombie & Fitch, New York".

The reel appears to be completely originals and is in excellent mechanical condition – the spool spins freely without any wobble or hesitation and the check works exactly as intended. The foot is straight and unaltered. There are no chips, cracks, lone grooves or signs of repairs. The reel retains a good bit of its original finish and is free of old line dressing residue.

I’m asking $375 obo for the reel including postage to the lower 48. PayPal only please and I’ll pay their fees.

PM if interested.

Richard
