how tight forward loop is a good loop?

I think everyone dreams to have a tight loop on the forward delivery. But how tight is a good loop with a crispy turn over while shooting to one's limit?

1'+ forward loop die on me at turn over while shooting.
2'+ loop works for me the best on turn over and distance.
3'+ loop less distance.

Any thoughts.

Hi Simon

I have seen your loops. If I could ever get my loops as tight as you and Larry with the distance and grace you guys cast with I would be able to comment, but for now I just watch. :whoa: Watching you guys really motivates me to practice, practice, practice!:eyecrazy:

Larry told me that you got 2 CND rods. They are very good spey rods. Come to river sometimes on weekend mornings, so we can practice together. I want to try your CND with GP 7/8 outfit. I heard they are a very good match.

I just got a Salar a few weeks back. It is a totally different animal from the rods I have casted, especially the rod tip design, very interesting! you may like it.

see you soon.
