Gary,

Your fly tying area reminds me of Paul Kukonen's shop on Green Street in Worcester, Mass. Paul used old shoe boxes and cigar boxes to store his materials for resale. He was a fly fishing legend who popularized the black bear green butt and red butt salmon flies. Paul died a few years ago.

Thanks, guys! The author of the book is Mike Valla and it will cover a broad spectrum of hairwing flies, from trout to steelhead to atlantics to saltwater, etc. Dave McNeese is doing the steelhead stuff, I did the atlantics. Stackpole is the publisher, so it ought to be a pretty book, and informative. Publication is next year, I believe.
