I cast the 10-11 on the 8139 and it was massively overloaded, ot also massivly overloaded the 9143 which is the largest rod i fish.. the 9-10 would have to be much much much much lighter for me to use it on the 8139.. on top of that it would have to cast amazingly well for me to fork over 150 bucks and it would have to be extremely easy to get!

I liked how the carron line cast on the big rod it's obviously a beautiful casting line I just don't see the need for one in the fishing I do it simply doesn't cast twice as well as a midspey or XLT.. Until it does i am content to spend half as much on a line so I can afford the gas to actually go fishing..

What i mean is that it's a great line but it ain't 150 bucks great.. get the price reasonable and i'd consider it.. On the other hand I am all for capitalism if the guys have a demand for a product that's great more power to them:)
I paid £40 each in England for mine, a sort of introduction offer. (The only Swedish dealer carrying them at them moment is asking eqv. £70 for each  ) The Swedish krona is pretty strong against both the dollar and the pound at the moment so now is a good time to shop for gear in the US/the UK. I think these are pretty much big gun lines and for my 13´ I´m sticking with the WC and shooting heads.

I really think it´s a good idea to spend more money on gas etc, you know actually getting out to the water. I bought these lines since I haven´t actually been using mid bellies before. I just kinid of waved the Midspey briefly before getting this. So if you´re already have great mid belly lines you might pass on these until you actually need new lines.

As Fred says, the new Partridge lines are available for a penny under £40 (just over $75) in this country, whereas all the Rio lines are £53 (a shade under $100) - nearly 33% more. The Rio multitips are £116 (over $218), incidentally.

Aren't trade tariffs great? (Oops, sorry, no politics). ;)
