Got to see a great presentation last night at the University of Montana by environmental historian Jeff Crane on his book, Finding the River: An Environmental History of the Elwha. It was really great to hear all about the past history of how the dams were built and the lengthy campaign to remove them, as well as how quickly fish seem to be returning and the restoration effort. Haven't had a chance to read it yet, but based on his talk, I think many of us would enjoy it. Sounds like a great book for those who feel a connection to the PNW rivers and history. If you're a nerd like me, check it out.

Anybody already read it and have a review?
