Evotec G 3 ???

I have read the thread from 2005. I am not concerned so much with cost or place of manufacture. Now that this reel has been around for a while, is it a good reel for a spey rod? Which would be better, the 8/10 or the 9/13 for Atlantics or Steelhead on a 14 or 15 foot rod? Assuming a 9 or 10 weight line 120 to 140 feet in length. Thanks for any replies.

Hi Leo!

Go with the 9/13--this has been my most used reel for the past year. It has great capacity with 50# GSP--for example, the CND GPS #11 (a long belly line) fits just fine. A very smooth, durable, reliable and pretty reel.
