Yep....another one in the eye for our truly wild stock of salmon. The only consolation I take from this environmental nightmare is that most of our hallowed rivers down the East coast of Scotland are supposedly unaffected by the West coast escapees.
A number of years back, the return of salmon to the River Clyde on the West coast was hailed as a great success but the mutants I saw made me wonder where they had originated from. A lot of them had fin and other deformities and were clearly not the product of thousands of years of evolution.
