Can anybody explain/offer the casting/fishing difference between the two iterations of the Beulah switch heads: Elixir Switch and Elixir V2 Switch?

Looking at putting a 350 of one of them on my 11'3 Ross Reach 6 wt.

i've been wondering myself. are the new lines more true to labled weight? old style lines were off as much as 30gr and 2 feet on integrated version. also not the greatest loop quality. i have had 5, now have 3, none worked out on intended rods, but found a home on others.

Hello,

From a casting perspective, I guess the V2 turns over a little bit easier for me but I didn't really have trouble with the original design. Frankly that's about all I've noticed. The other items are more cosmetic than anything.

In a nutshell:
- slight redesign of the taper
- line ID added to the line
- new color

I'd say buy the old model if you can find one for cheap or on clearance, slightly used, etc. Otherwise buy the new model. Can't go wrong in my book...
