I have two rods in my quiver right now for what i deem to be trout speys. I haven't really fished the classic except for on Vancouver Island Estuaries for pinks, but have done a few days of swinging with the dually here in northern BC and southern AB. I'm curious if any of you have had the experience of fishing either rods, and what you guys have lined them with.

As it is, I have my 5110 dually lined with a 375 Skagit Max Short and a 390 Airflo Skagit Switch. Has anyone thrown the same lines/similar grains on the beulah, and how it fared? Currently I have the tonic for the 5/6 beulah, and i've found it fares alright with poly tips/pink flies. I'd like to try sculpins/streamers on it with the heavier skagit lines.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Good evening tipsdeep, the 5/6 Beulah Classic switch is a great rod.
I use a 350 gr. Rio Skagit Max short with 10' of T8 or T11 on mine.
