Hello friends,

I hope you like this version; i will draw a spey variant of this fly soon, actually i'm undecided between a feather tip wing on glasso style, a pure spey strip wing or a dee but will make up my mind and draw it soon.

When i saw the original photo it had a slight reflection of the hackle, so i said to myself it would be nice to exploit that on the drawing, i'm glad youy like it :hihi:

For me drawing flies is something very special right now, i can't get to the vise and tie real flies so i've found a kind of substitute on the pencil, i draw the whole fly just like if i were tying it, from the bare hook through everything until reaching the head cement and, just like when tying i real fly, i try my best to take care of proportions and to reflect the best i can the properties of every material and the details of the tying itself I'm almost sure that these drawings could even improve my tyings when i get back to them :roll:

Started drawing the spey version today (drawn the hook lol) i plan to dress it tomorrow so, if everything goes fine, i hope to post it here by night. Was also wondering if couldn't be possible to make an intruder of it.... i just love to make different versions of a given fly...

I would have it more advanced by now, but my brother invited me for a car drive (the first one since my operation) and i couldn0t say no, then we went out and ended at my friend's flyshop, he got me some bronze mallard feathers, weeeeeeee i will tie some lady carolines soon I was also seeing some #4 rods (single handed, the double handed will still have to wait another couple of years till i put my hands on it) I will need that light rod for the upcoming trip, it will be dry fly season (and small wet flies paradise hehehe) and the streams where we will go really call for light gears.
