I'm wondering if because it's an integrated line and there seems to be a thicker handling section on the running line AND the fact that the running line itself feels a bit thicker....IF that makes this line fish or feel one line weight heavier???

Any one tried it versus a different head of the same style and found they went up a line weight?

Thank you...

Cant answer your specific question but one thing about this line is that it loves lots of overhang due to its rear tapered handling section. Paired with poly tips and big overhang this thing bombs out there. Even had 450 rigged up on 12 8" 7 weight rod and 15 foot versileaders… Ultra tight powerful loops but must use big overhang.

The short answer is no . The taper is mis-leading as the grain weight is somewhat on the light side .
And as always , ymmv per rod .
