Anyone from this area with information of fly fishing let's talk. I am new to the fly fishing way of life and would like to learn all that I can.

I used to visit Dallas often, big customer down there with my previous employer. I'll bet the bass bugging opportunities around Grapevine are awesome. Also a run down to the coast would be red heaven from what I have read and seen on tv.

Saw the TU show on your Guadalupe trout fishery too, looked interesting.

Welcome aboard!

The last I had heard was that the Guadalupe trout fishery was wiped out by the flooding they had in San Antonio. Probably something about a lesson in nature's course there anyway. JP there is some excellent fly fishing opportunities for stripers in your area as well as some fantastic bass fishing. Of course Arkansas is a driveable distance for the weekend also. One of my managers lives in Denison and comutes to Arkansas every week. Try stopping by Westbank Anglers there in Dallas and see what they have to say.

WESTBANK ANGLERS IS NOW RENAMED TO BLUEDRAKE. PH# 214-350-4665. THEY AND ORVIS WOULD BE GOOD PLACES TO CHECK OUT FOR BREAKING IN TO THE AREA,PLUS LESSONS ,ETC. BEAU
Cool! How how bout suggesting a sponsorship? They sound like a good outfit and we've already started promoting them :)
I'm originally from Texarkana, and have fished the areas around east texas quite alot. My favorite bass lake would probally be lake Ray Roberts. I caught a really nice bass (10lb.) out of there on the "last cast" of the day. My uncle went back the next year and caught a 12lb fish in the exact same spot. Figures.

If you're lookin for trout fishing, i've had a lot of fun times up by Broken Bow in Oklahoma. Beautiful country.
