As many of you know, I've organized a fly tying contest to raise money for the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society. I thought I would get in the spirit of the event, and tie something up for the Green Butt Skunk Division for fun. Obviously this isn't an entry, since I'm judging, but I bought some legal heron and couldn't resist.;)

Hope you are all well,

Tony

Love it!

I like everything about it. Its a perfect example of what contemporary Dee style steelhead fly should be. I must say Dec's Skagit Mist was your inspiration!

Good morning,

Thank you for the kind comments. This fly was inspired by David Barlow's, Steelhead Akroyd in Shewey's Spey and Dee book.

Take care,

Tony

thats real close to perfect. I love the variation of the pattern. like a green butt skagit mist. that head is tiny... real nice work on body and tail as well. heck, there isn't a flaw.

Tony, very nice looking fly .How do you like those hooks ? I had bought some and returned them the next day as I found the ead was much too shallow angled to thread a leader through it.
