A little while ago davidstrout posted an amazing SBS. I had to give it a go. I didn't have any shanks handy so I tied it on a Partridge CS 10 1/0. I'pl cut the hook in place of a small trailer, even though the length would probably be okay.

I thought I might have trouble with the bronze mallard collar, but I took my time splitting the feather and it worked out.

I chose to do mine with a few feather subs, using golden pheasant instead of ring neck as it is what I have available. This is my best effort in this style of tying, and I owe it to that SBS.
