Giving these little hooks a shot, really like em,size 1, no double wings on these bad boys. Nice limerick bend, sweet little Dee and spey hook. Look em up if you haven't already.

try to bring the fly up a bit maybe even shorten tag a bit. and out a throat on the fly it will make the world a difference, a trait of a dee fly is a long throat. also try and sit the tail lower, just my opinion

you dont need to flatten them more in that sence you need to crimp the tying point a bit and that will get it to sit muxh lower

Matt, first off, nice fly. Secondly, maybe study Jins tails. I know he uses his nail to alter the way the topping sits. His trademark tails sit nice and low.
