I'm planning to travel to BC in Sept. to do some steelheading from the US. Will I have any troubles crossing the border in either direction will typical flytying materials?

no problem!

standard steelhead stuff is fine--scissors, materials, etc. The only problem *might* be going back--some US anglers like to purchase stuff in Canada that they can't get in the US--Cubans, Polar Bear, Seal, etc--and customs agents are VERY AWARE of this so going home with a SUV full of rod tubes is a dead give-away that "this vehicle should be searched."

Have a great trip!
