The Corniehaug is one of the flies that lured me into the world of spey flies. Being a traditional strip wing fly that may sound strange, but I first met the Corniehaugh the site http://feathersfliesandphantoms.co.uk and it quickly found its way into my sketch book among other patterns in use at the river Spey. And in my sketch book it has resided until now. I really like the clean and sparse aspect of this fly even though it leaves little room for error and no room for haste ;-)
