this have been my favorite line hands down since I try it the first time and I did used poly and sink tips whit it . for dry line work is to me the mother of all lines .I wonder if some day some line manufacturer will bring this great line back to the market .I had no previous experience whit double tapers .is there any line out there or it has ever been a line to this beauty ?

I was just playing with this line yesterday, the 7/8/9, I like it a lot!! Amazing how far it will roll cast too. I think you can still get it from Japan?

What rods are you guys playing with these CND DT's ??
My 15' 8/9/10 Meiser Highlander loves a Worchestshire (UK) DT10 at 80' :smokin:
I say there has been too much emphasis on shooting head type lines these past few years , let's get back to the basics and start kickin' it old school again !!
We need a manufacturer to start producing the great DT lines again !!

There is no "magic" in CND DT. Just two front tapers rear ends joined. Needs more room on reel and it does not shoot as well as WF line but of course you can make two 60ft shooting heads (or one 50ft and one 70ft or any two which totals max 120ft) of one CND DT.

I'm using line with a 17' clan 9/10. Line has one end looped at 15' for tips. I removed floating tip and attached loop to running line. With junction of running line in hand whole line can be picked up and cast. Very cool set up. CND double taper has a really long front and rear taper(compared to normal dt's).

I been fishing the 7/8/9 on a solstice 15/2 and solstice 14.3 and lately g. Loomis nrx 15 10/11 ( more a 9/10) l and works great .also I use the old hardy swift 15/10 ,with the cnd double taper 9/10/11 . This last set up isone of the best combos I ever cast . I dont know much about tapers but not all the forward tapers are created equals I'm able to spey cast 95 to 100 pare with 15 ft rod very consistent on real fishing conditions with this line .but struggle to spey cast the same amount .with lines such grand spey ,xlt ,and to a lesser extend carron .I would love to see this lines come back I'm down to my last two double tapers .I would like them on color white please chuckle:

I own two 7/8/9s and love them. I've even tried leaving the 20' floating tip off and cast large/heavy flies on a mono leader, works great as a blunt full floater. When I heard these were going to be discontinued, I bought a back up from Lee Davidson when he departed as a US CND distributor.
