Hey Guys, I am heading to the Catt. Clave this weekend and I am not sure whether to set up my 1307 Custom with the 6/7/8 Windcutter or a 7/8 Midspey line . I own both lines but I am pretty much a beginer to spey casting and was'nt sure if one line or the other would work better for the Catt. Thanks for the Help, Dan.

If you are using tips I would go for the 6/7/8 WC option. A shorter denser head throws tips easier in most cases. I have a bunch of lines you can try on the rod to see what your preferences are, but it's hard to beat the Rio lines you named.

For a crisp light summer rod I like the Midspey 6/7 for that rod. Others I know cast the 7/8 and load the rod deeper, both work.
