A few from this fall, limited time out on the water this fall due to hernia operation and then my back going out but manage a pretty darn good afternoon one day before surgery. Said screw it and took the pain!
First fish hit once then smacked her on the dangle and then proceeded with violent hand shakes and running right at me.

After I landed it I knew it was going to be a good day as I wasn't even at my hot spot yet so I rested the area for a bit and well myself as well. Then as I reached my hot spot just as the fly started to swing into the zone "wham" a very violent strike and swirl out of the water and fish on! I was immediately taken into my backing and I knew I had a good fish on, had never had anything like this before in my life. The hardest battle I have ever had with the spey rod to date and managed I would say the biggest steelie to date she was pretty darn close to that 36 " mark!!!
