I just got a report from the CND Master - Nobuo Nodera (Cherry Pick) in Japan. After chasing around the globe after salmonids he finally got a chance to get after his home waters! This fish - for Cherry salmon is a hog - at a little over 9 lbs - it is like a steelhead in the mid-twenties! Well done Nobuo. :smokin:

As I understand it, catching these on the fly is no small feat. An exceptional fish!

Thank you Gents!

Thank you for your thread and reply for Cherry Salmon!
I finaly picked one this year but it was tough work. The season is almost end for Cherry Salmon, but might try one more trip to get another one.
Majority of Cherry Salmon caught on Lures and some on Shooting
head casting by Fly. Very rarely caught on Spey casting. However some of Japanese Spey casters getting better on ability and I hear more of Cherry Salmon caught on Speycasting this year. Good news.
Hope some of you come to Japan to try on next season. I can be good guide for any of Spey Clave menbers.

Cherry Salmon put the word "Crome" into "Cromer."

Football shape and as bright a fish as you could find. Great shots!
