Nymph!

Hitcher's recent post of a wonderful set of nymphs had me thinking about them for Salmon and Steelhead. Just because it's a nymph pattern, it doesn't always mean lobbing indicator's and weight.

They can be quite elegant, and drifted or swung like anything else you may tie onto the end of your leader.

Here's my take on a Charles DeFeo pattern I just found in a Bate's book- his Gold Nymph...

Thanks for the look,

Thanks, Gary. The pattern just caught my eye and I had to try it out.

We have to get together one of these years! Maybe go hang out with Dave up in the Adirondacks.

I can only imagine what I could learn from you guys! Spelling, notwithstanding! ;)

Awesome Bill!!!
Was recently holding a couple of these nymphs from my box.
This is very well tied!
Nice hook choice too!
Thanks, John! It looked too good not to tie one up.

I'm lovin' the Sawada Spey hooks! Compliments quite a few patterns.

Cheers,

Thanks gents'. I'm going to give two more of Mr. DeFeo's nymphs a try. His Black and his Green Cosseboom versions.
