Anybody know anything about these? Their single handed rods are absolutely wonderful and good value for money. Their spey rods are said to be very light, with a deep but fast action.

(CD stands for Composite Developments, a New Zealand company. They manufacture a lot of blanks for other brands, for example Redington. Their latest single handed series, the XLS, recently won Best New Product at the Efftex Fair in London.)

Got 1 of their 15' blanks recently. Haven't made it up yet, so it's hard to say.
The blank is well finished and looks quality. First impressions would be it is tippish action and I'd be surprised if the action gets near the butt at all. Did the old ceiling test and it didn't seem progressive; in fact the action didn't go past the mid section. Could be wrong and wont really know til I make it up. May do it over the Christmas and will let you know how it goes.
Oki-doki! Will await your verdict.
