I am always looking for ways to improve my casting... It appears on my most recent setup my reel is a bit on the light side... I have a Beulah Platinum 6126 with a Hardy Ultralite 8000DD.. If your reel is too light how or can this effect your casting efficiency?

That reel is "about right" in terms of capacity. 9 ounces if Im correct.

Want to improve casting? Practice good technique. Practice, practice, practice. A light reel might be helpful to someone practicing A LOT, maybe too much, but ultimately it comes down to sound technique and repetition.
