WHISTLER FLYFISHING CAST AND BLAST

WHISTLER FLYFISHING
CAST AND BLAST 2005

A different kind of Spey event, the Cast and Blast is free to everyone and will feature spey instruction, casting demonstrations, demo rods and lines. This is a fun event and designed for both beginners and experienced casters. This event starts at 9am at the Mamquam bar on the lower Squamish river and will run till about 4pm. Feel free to drop in at any time throughout the day as demos will be ongoing. As well transportation from Whistler can be arranged by calling the Fly [email protected] 604-932-7221.


Cast and Blast 2005

When: Sunday April 17th 9am - 4pm

Location: Mamquam bar on the lower Squamish river just below the mouth of the
Mamquam river.

Cost: FREE!!!!!!!!

Featuring:

-Casting lessons from FFF certified instructors

-Test casting the latest offerings from LOOP, SAGE, G&L FLYCRAFT, REDINGTON, FENWICK, CND, SA MASTERY, RIO, AIRFLOW AND CARRON.

-Dave Rominuk fromWATERMASTER RAFTS will be on hand with the unique opportunity to demo both their GRIZZLY and KODIAK models.

-Casting demos from Brian Niska, Jason Klimock and Speypages’ Dana Sturn.

As the name says this event should be a blast and provides a very unique opportunity for those thinking about getting into two handed casting as well as the opportunity to try the latest and greatest in gear, not to mention free lunch. Please call the Fly shop at
604-932-7221 with any questions that you have or to pre-register. This will help us to determine how much food to bring. Look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday.

Thanks to Brian and his staff at Whistler Fly Fishing for a great event. After a morning of classic winter steelhead weather (cold, rainy), the clouds parted for an afternoon of sunshine and Spey rods flashing over the Squamish.

"Short" rods and shooting heads were the hit of the day! Great to see everyone!
