Did this to see how my DIY dyed heron behaved. The heron is sparse and very easy to tie, so I guess it pass the test for me at least ;-) Did the Carron with a silk body instead of berlin wool, and did a counter rib with the tinsel instead of the hackle.
Got plenty of wool from my mother who's a retired handicraft teacher. But for this one I wanted to play with my new japanese silk as well as the heron ;-) Also decided to add a teal throat even though the original pattern has no such thing ;-)
