Given the recent events in Ottawa and the upcoming Remembrance Day (70th Anniversary) there is a campaign to encourage the use of your poppies starting today. Please consider pulling them out of storage and wear them proud. Tragic events won't intimidate us, only encourage national unity and resolve.

A vote of true-blue American support for our Northern brothers and sisters, and special kudos to the Canadian media for handling their reporting of events in a decidedly balanced and non-sensationalist way.

regards,
Bob

Canada`s finest

Hey Canada- We always knew you are a tough country- ( just look at the weather), but you are also one FINE country when the ships hit the sand!
And at least your media keeps the bull at a minimum .
As my generation of the 60`s would say " RIGHT ON!!!"
Hope you keep kickin %SS

Oh Canada!

I've always admired our neighbors to the north. I'm old enough to remember the "original six" in the NHL and the Red Wings training at the Soo.
Maybe it's time to "spay" these wannabe terrorists.
Best,
lsteinb

Not that really like Stephan Harper but I give him and the Sergeant in arms total credit for taking the proper steps here. A lot of people could have lost lives here if this guy got into the Caucasus. For the Premier to go to the war memorial the following morning to pay respect puts him in my good books, considering the risk he took to do it

You Canadians have a Prime Minister to be proud of. A leader who calls this act of violence what it really is.
None of this political correct workplace violence garbage but pure unadulterated terrorism. Hang in there, our thoughts are with you.

Nice post, very respectful considering the events of last week.

Always try to have a Poppy pinned to my chest after Halloween, but with the request from those who serve and to show solidarity with them I will make sure to do so earlier.
