More out of curiosity - what is the action of the burkheimer single handers? I have a few two handers and love them. Never cast one of Kerry’s single hand trout rods.

I can’t speak to other single hand Burkie’s but this one seems to be a deep loading, medium-fast action. If you’re in love with “feel” my (non-professional) recommendation is to find a place that you can hold a Burkie DAL for trout. Of course, opinion is totally subjective but for me, it was this or an Winston IM6 and I’m very lucky to find this one because it’s a very happy medium between power and feel. Can’t wait to fight trout with it.
I’m sure this forum is full of die hard Burkie fans that can speak to this more than I.
Do your self a favor and put one in your hand and just see how it feels.

i have a 8'3" 4wt dal. all i can say is WOW!!!!! fun rod, lots of feel with a discontinued sage performance taper II line. LOADS of fun on fire hole fish. ive caught some 14" browns and bows at spinny with it, no problem. i have a pre im6 winston 5wt, and that is a awesome rod, but i end up fishing the BH more. yes im a BH fan!!!!!
