Tied on A.J. #1.5 blind-eye hook. Copper ribs (medium flat tinsel and fine copper wire counter rib). Collar is orange mallard flank. Body hackle is fiery brown schlappen stripped on one side.

Looking good , Paul. Nice color combo>

I don't recall ever using much in the way of orange on the Salmon, do you have much luck with it? Then again, and I think I've said this before, but you know that river and those fish so well, I think you could catch them on anything!!

Bill: I did catch some drop back steelhead this past spring on a very similar fly. I think it will work on the early steelhead that show up in September and early October when the water is low and relatively warm.
This a 26" male I caught on similar fly May 18, 2014.
