If you guys had a free month to fish BC for steelhead how would you go about it?
let me throw some rules out:
No Guides
No Jet Sleds (pontoons ok)
No Lodges
No Planes, Helicopters, etc
You have a truck, a sleeping bag, waders and boots, your favorite steelhead spey rods, fly tying kit, stove, a little grub, and a couple bottles of goooood scotch. You can take your trusty back country backpack too!
That being said, where you would you go and when? Remember you have an entire 30 day period. Strictly Steelhead. No Salmon, No Kamloops, Nothing but Steelhead.
Yeah, I am trying to gather intel on how a broke young guy like myself can go to BC and fish his @$$ off for a month......sort of a gift to myself after getting out of the military - a chance to maybe regain some sanity. Unfortunately, I dont have a sled and guides are simply out of the question as I dont have that kind of cash. I am curious to see what you guys think. Throw some Ideas out there! If the world gave you a freebie month to chase steelhead in BC........
