I'm in Riverside, Ca now, away from everything that is of any good flu fishing
I surf fly fish mostly now, keep my spey casting skills tight by practicing in the surf. If you can double, single and snap t in the surf you can do it anywhere!

Love surf perching. I need a 3 wt switch with like 150 gr head, that would be perfect for surf perch. Have you ever thrown Rio scandi full sink s4 with a versaleader 7-9 ips if great in the surf. I have it hooked to a airflo ridge int shooter. Bombs away!

Which hooks did you go with? These are on AJ 2091

Well, I placed an order of the Partridge HE2 1/0 hoping they are available. Similar long shank, blind eye style of hook. But Ive never used them before...

Vic , you are in for a treat !!
The HE2's are my favorite Dee iron and should have never been discontinued
Years ago , I missed out on a batch of #2 , #1 and #1/0 irons on the famous auction site ... I should have bid that extra $20
The #1/0 size is common now days , usually easy to find . Let me know if you have an issue getting them and I'll "hook" you up with another supplier .

I think we should all petition Mustad/Partridge to reintroduce the HE2 iron .

There is a seller on eBay who has he2 irons, has 1/0 - 3/0 dang pricey in comparison to AJ's and looks like a more progressive drop point. Not a bad looking hook.
