Right on time, the rivers of western Washington are brown and flowing through the streets (together with no few salmon), reminding us that it's time to gear up for rivers with major c.f.s.

Thomas & Thomas 1511-3, custom built, used but sound. A fast, rip-snortin' powerhouse. $225, or...

Scott G-series 16-foot, four-section 10-weight. A demo rod, apparently unfished. $300, or...

...I'll consider trades for a 15-foot +, light-line spey rod.

Sale pending on the Thomas & Thomas.

As for the Scott, this is an immaculate line-launcher by one of America's best rod makers, at a slightly absurd price. Now, I know that there are at least seven or eight of you left who value the big rods. Come on - ask me questions about it.
