Anyone headed to the Deschutes this weekend for some steelheading?...I'm thinking of hitting the water below the falls down to Macks...are the fish higher than that?

Been looking for a serious report at all of the usual sites, but mum seems to be the word on where they are and what they're taking...

The fishing has been real spotty, rather catching has for this time of year has been rather slow. Have talked to several guides and as of last week nobody is setting the any records.

There were some fish going over the falls in July. They have been catching some in the Maupin area. It has been spotty, as already mentioned.
