Brand new to this site and it is the best i have seen out there

Any suggestions for a beginner spey outfit.(rod reel line)

I live in the great lakes region. I dont want to spend a lot of money. I want to see if i like fishing with a spey rod first.

I was looking at the St Croix with Tioga reel or the cabelas rods with tioga reel. If you have casted with either of these, i would like your input.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
